Applicable rules
In accordance with Article 2(10) of the basic 119 of the Act of July 20, 2018. “Law on higher education and science” [Journal of Laws No. 2021 item 478]:
- Establishing the first employment relationship with an academic teacher at a given public university, for an indefinite period or longer than 3 months, for more than half of the full-time working time, takes place after an open competition. The procedure and terms of the competition are specified in the statute.
- Information about the competition and its result along with the justification shall be made available in the BIP on the websites of the university, the minister and the minister supervising the university within 30 days, respectively, before and after the competition.
- Information about the competition is also available in English on the European Commission’s website on the European portal for mobile researchers, dedicated to the publication of job vacancies for researchers, 30 days before the competition.
According to the Statute of the Warsaw University of Life Sciences (SGGW):
- The decision to conduct the competition is made by the Rector or the vice-rector appointed by the Rector.
- The information about the competition and its result along with the justification is made available by the Rector in the Public Information Bulletin on the websites of the WULS-SGGW, the minister and the minister supervising the university within 30 days, respectively, before and after the competition.
- The information about the competition is also available in English on the European Commission’s website on the European portal for mobile researchers, intended for the publication of job offers for researchers, within 30 days before the competition.
- Information about the competition may also be made available by posting notices at the Warsaw University of Life Sciences and sending information about the competition to other domestic or foreign universities and scientific institutions.
The statute also specifies the content requirements that should be included in the competition notice.
Placing advertisements
Announcements about competitions conducted at the Institute of Technical Informatics of the Warsaw University of Life Sciences are posted on the following websites:
- The university https://bip.sggw.edu.pl/oferty-pracy/ ;
- Ministry of Education and Science in the Academic Announcement Database https://bazaogloszen.nauka.gov.pl/ ;
- The European Commission https://euraxess.ec.europa.eu/ ;
- Institute in Polish and English https://iit.sggw.edu.pl/category/oferty-pracy/ , https://iit.sggw.edu.pl/category/job-offers/?lang=en .
Needed documents
In the case of conducting the competition procedure, the following documents are required to be posted on the website:
- competition announcement in Polish in Microsoft Word format or in the form of a text file
- and an announcement about the competition in English.
Caution
- The announcement in Polish will be posted on the website of the institute, university and as an attachment in pdf format on the website of the ministry and must contain the information needed to complete the form on the ministry website, incl. Keywords.
- The announcement of the competition in English will be posted on the institute’s website and constitutes the basis for the preparation of the announcement on the European Commission’s website.
- The advertisement in English must contain the information needed to complete the form on the European Commission’s website. Sample ads are available at https://euraxess.ec.europa.eu/jobs/search .
