W poniedziałek 12 stycznia w godz. 12:15-13:00 (sala 3/40, bud. 34) zapraszamy na seminarium, podczas którego prof. Artur Dubrawski wygłosi referat pod tytułem „Impactful AI: Outstanding Challenges and Opportunities You Can Shape”.
Abstract: We will provide a subjective view of the challenges that limit Artificial Intelligence’s real-world impact and highlight opportunities where students and researchers can help drive meaningful progress.
Bio: Artur Dubrawski is the Alumni Research Professor of Computer Science at Carnegie Mellon University and Director of the Auton Lab, a large research group focused on building AI that works in the real world. With over 35 years of experience across academia and industry, Prof. Dubrawski has led projects in healthcare, defence, public safety, etc., wherever AI is not just theoretical and can be life-changing. He is passionate about mentoring the next generation of scientists and helping students turn cutting-edge research into practical impact.
Note: Prof. Dubrawski will be accompanied by Mrs. Rachel Burcin, Global Programs Manager at the Robotics Institute, Carnegie Mellon University, who will give a quick introduction to the CMU Robotics Institute Summer Scholars: a program of summer internships directed to primarily undergraduate students worldwide interested in robotics and AI (https://riss.ri.cmu.edu/). She will be available to answer questions about RISS and other opportunities for exchange and collaboration.
